The Acting Program At...

The LMC theatre faculty believes in hands-on learning. With four mainstage productions and several student-directed shows each year, our graduates are prepared for the most vigorous university programs nationwide. Students following an acting track study two years of acting, voice and diction, theatre history, stagecraft, dance and makeup as well as gain a core in liberal arts courses. Students selecting the technical track study a variety of theory, design and technique courses, while also taking core liberal arts courses. TECH majors also serve in key production positions for each Mainstage and Black-Box production. Musically inclined performers may select the musical theatre track and divide their major studies among music, theatre and dance plus core classes. Satisfactory completion of any of the above degree options provides the graduating student with more than 60 hours of transfer credit to an upper level school.
