The Acting Program At...

Our students and faculty have been nationally recognized by the John F. Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. The mission of our program is to provide students with the tools needed for preparation as theatre educators or professional practitioners, or for continuation of their studies on the graduate level.

We offer a Bachelor of Theatre Arts Degree with an acting/directing focus area and a design/tech focus area. Theatre majors may also pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre leading to teacher Certification. We offer an intense academic and production season providing students with meaningful experiences that promote theatre as a medium of expression and collaboration. We invite you to join us at the Island University where we take pride in our outstanding students and faculty.

Students earning a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Theatre may concentrate on one of two specialties: Acting/Directing Focus or Design/Technical Theatre Focus. Theatre majors may also pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre leading to teacher certification.
