The Acting Program At...

The Drama Program of Texas Woman's University is located in Denton, Texas. Located in historic Hubbard Hall, the brand new, state-of-the-art Redbud Theater Complex stages four productions a year with occassional student projects tacked on to the season. The program is known for creating productions on an international scale. In recent years its students have studied and performed in the Czech Republic and Ireland, in 2007 they mounted an original production off-Broadway in New York, and in 2008, they took an original work to the Fringe in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Bachelor of Arts in Drama
At the undergraduate level, the Department of Performing Arts offers programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Teaching Certification in Theatre Arts. Course work available in the areas of acting/directing, design/production, and music theatre will permit you to develop a program of study which focuses attention on the desired areas as well as on the relationship of all theatrical elements to the whole production process.

Master of Arts in Drama
At the graduate level, a program leading to the Master of Arts degree is offered.

Online Master of Arts in Drama
The new TWU Master of Arts program is designed for that special group of Texas residents who for financial and familial reasons must continue to work while they earn college credit.
