SUMMER 2008!


Monday through Friday, students participate in a broad array of core classes that introduce them to finding the actor within, while simultaneously training their instrument to do the kind of technical, emotional, and physical work necessary for film acting. Each course concentrates on developing a foundation of acting using training techniques for theater and film, while our primary focus is on acting for film.

The summer Acting for Film Camps, as well as the Weekend Acting for Film Camps, are intensive and require a complete commitment on the part of the student. The four-week, three-week, and one-week camps, and the Weekend Acting Camps are designed for students with little or no experience, while our advanced six-week course is designed for returning students.

Midsummer is a dynamic theatre and drama institute designed especially for young artists. Classes are taught by IU faculty professionals, outstanding teaching assistants, and guest artists. Midsummer brings students and faculty together to build an ensemble through a common endeavor. Over the years, the Midsummer Theatre Program enjoyed tremendous success, accepting dozens of talented and dedicated students from around the country for two weeks of challenging and rewarding theatrical training and exposure to one of the richest, cultural landscapes in the country.

ECKERD COLLEGE, JUNE 22-JULY 6

An intensive two week training program, for high school & college actors who know that they simply must act and who have a passion to develop their craft in a rigorous, professional environment.
